Root Riot Meeting – March 18th 10am-12 noon

Hello Everyone,

Even though today’s temperatures are in the 20’s, spring will actually be here very soon. Some people have already been out to Harambee and planted radishes and spinich. (Nothing quite gets you in the mood to garden like root vegtables 😉

We have some very exciting opportunites this season. The Austin Library is going to be participating at Harambee this season and to help promote the garden, we have set up a growing station in the library. (seedlings are already sprouted!)

Our meeting next saturday will be covering a number of things including:

  • Rebuilding more beds this season
  • Raising some extra funds through our partner non-profit Shawnash
  • Getting a new water source.
  • Assigning beds to new gardeners
  • Creating a space off the alley for soil deliveries.

We look forward to seeing you.

Thanks,

Seamus

  1. I’d like to post this on AustinTalks. Are there any photos from last year’s garden we could include in the post.
